Our background is in the house & flat rental market working for tenants, this has given us an excellent insight into the workings of the industry. But what we saw wasn’t always pretty and all too often we came across tenants who were struggling to get back their deposit and generally being unfairly treated.
Having seen enough, we decided to do something about it and our small team quickly grew to a large network dedicated to one thing – helping clients get Tenancy deposits back.
We only ever work for tenants and in their best interests, so if you’ve paid a tenancy deposit for an assured shorthold tenancy and are having problems getting it back or suspect the landlord hasn’t used a Government approved ‘Tenancy Deposit Scheme’, we can help.
The Tenancy Deposit Scheme was introduced to give tenants greater protection from unscrupulous landlords and the use of one is now a legal requirement. If your landlord hasn’t placed your Tenancy deposit in a scheme we can apply to the courts for an order to get potentially triple your Tenancy deposit back. If you’re fed up of getting nowhere, let us have a go – we’ll take all the hassle away from you and we’ll deal with the Landlord or Agent on your behalf. Plus, there’s no need for you to write any letters or emails or make phone calls, our expert team will do all the legwork and best of all – it’s completely FREE.
There is something we’ll need you to do though, if you let us handle your case, we will need a few pieces of information in order for us to check the eligibility of your potential deposit claim. Then, if you are eligible we will do our very best to make sure you get ALL of your Tenancy deposit back. To get started, simply fill out the quick and easy form above or call us now and one of the team will start helping you straight away.
The Tenancy Deposit Scheme Claim Process
When you first contact us our trained advisor will assess the documents you have provided and a decision made whether a claim should be made. As much evidence as possible will be gathered from you in support of your claim. We will need;
- A copy of your Tenancy Agreement (Remember to include all copies of your Tenancy Agreements, as we are unable to process your claim without them)
- A signed Terms of Business
- Any documents provided by your landlord/Agent that refers to your Tenancy deposit
The process as a whole is not fast. Once you have registered with us and have provided us with all of the paperwork that we require, we aim to confirm with 7 days whether or not you have the possibility for a Tenancy Deposit Scheme Claim. We then will communicate with your Landlord and try to reach an out of court settlement that all parties accept. If this process fails we then pass the claim to our appointed Tenancy Deposit Claim solicitors to process a claim through the county courts. Our dedicated case advisors will keep you updated every step of the way.
Don’t Worry!
The legal jargon and the different scenarios involved make deciding whether you have a claim by yourself very difficult. Tell us the situation and we will advise you.
